Enhancing Your Board Opportunities
The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) believes that effective
directors contribute to better boards and stronger governance practices.
Being appointed to a board takes time, dedication, effort and
experience.
While the ICD is not a board placement agency, we offer many tools,
resources and opportunities for in-person networking to assist our
members in their quest to obtain director positions:
-
Formal Director Education/Professional Development - The ICD
and Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto have jointly
developed a suite of education programs that provide participants with
the skills and knowledge they need to be more effective directors. In
addition, the ICD hosts topical seminars and conferences across the
country through a network of local Chapters.
-
Accreditation - The ICD.D certification, granted
by the Institute of Corporate Directors, provides a higher level of
knowledge, commitment and credibility to the director profession.
