Nominations
Each year, the ICD names several of Canada's leading directors as
Fellows of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Nominated by their
peers and selected by an independent committee, these directors are
deemed worthy of the F.ICD designation by virtue of the experience,
knowledge and attributes that distinguish them from the rest.
To nominate a candidate for the
2011 ICD Fellowship Award, please forward your suggestions to
Vicki
Jordan, Vice President, Marketing & Member
Services, or complete the Nomination Form.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, November 5,
2010.
Selection Criteria
Nominees are selected based on various criteria with respect to their
roles on boards across the country including:
- Personal qualities and leadership abilities;
- Accountability to stakeholders;
- Knowledge, expertise and education;
- Contributions to governance;
- Relationship with CEOs and management;
- Understanding of the boards on which he/she sits;
- Knowledge of the businesses that he/she serves as a director;
and
- Quality of contributions outside of the boardroom such as authoring
and speaking engagements.
