Brian Brodie, M.D., ICD.D, CCPE
Chair, Canadian Medical Association Board of Directors

Dr. Brian Brodie has been a family physician for the last 30 years and has been instrumental in transforming the governance of Canadian Medical boards for the last 20 years. After chairing the board of the British Columbia Medical Association for several years, he assumed the position of President.

Dr. Brodie later served as a director on the board of the Canadian Medical Association. He was elected as the Chair of the Audit and Finance committee and moved into the role of Chairman of the Board where he continues today.

Dr. Brodie also serves on the board for both of CMA’s subsidiaries---MD Financial Management and Joule.

His peers awarded him the designation of Certified Canadian Physician Executive (CCPE). This credential demonstrates the skills and leadership accomplishments that are necessary to effect change in today’s multifaceted healthcare environment. 
 

David F. Denison, O.C., FCA, LL.D.
Chair, Hydro One Limited

Mr. Denison is a corporate director with extensive experience in the financial services industry. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Prior to that, he was President of Fidelity Investments Canada Limited.

Mr. Denison serves as Chair of the Board of Hydro One Limited and is a director of the Royal Bank of Canada and BCE Inc. He is also a member of the Investment Board and International Advisory Committee of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, and the International Advisory Council of the China Investment Corporation. Mr. Denison is also a co-chair of the University of Toronto Investment Committee.

Mr. Denison earned Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees from the University of Toronto. He is an officer of the Order of Canada and holds an Honorary doctor of laws degree from York University. 
 

Honourable A. Anne McLellan, P.C., O.C., A.O.E. 
Director, Nutrien and Cameco

Ms. McLellan served four terms as Liberal MP for Edmonton Centre, during which she was Deputy Prime Minister of Canada, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Minister of Health, Minister of Justice and Minister of Natural Resources.

Ms. McLellan joined Bennett Jones LLP in its Edmonton office in July 2006 as senior advisor.

In May 2015, Ms. McLellan became Dalhousie University’s seventh chancellor.

Ms. McLellan serves on the boards of Nutrien, the world’s largest potash producer and largest global ag-retail network and Cameco, the world’s largest publicly traded uranium company. She is Chair of the Board of Pearson College UWC and of the TELUS Edmonton Community Board. 
 

Robert Tessier
Chairman of the Board, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec

Robert Tessier has an extensive background as a corporate director and senior executive in both the private and the public sector. Prior to his appointment as Chairman of the Board of CDPQ, Mr. Tessier worked with Gaz Métro, first as President and Chief Executive Officer as well as Chairman of the Board. In the public sector, he spent several years as a senior civil servant with the Gouvernement du Québec in a variety of roles including Secretary of the Conseil du trésor and Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

Mr. Tessier is Chair of the Investors Group Funds Independent Review Committee. He is also Chairman of the Board of Green Mountain Power and of the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) of the Université de Montréal.

Mr. Tessier has served as a director on several boards, including CGI Group, AXA Canada, Centraide of Greater Montréal, Treasury Board of Quebec, Conference Board of Canada, Foundation of Greater Montreal and Montreal Heart Institute.
