Director Journal, the premier Canadian publication on
corporate governance and directorship, features in-depth articles

consultants and legal experts. This high-quality, full-colour
publication is produced and distributed by the ICD to its members six

The Eyes on Governance monthly e-newsletter keeps ICD members
in the loop with the most up-to-date information on corporate
governance. With links to regulatory updates, legal news, IFRS updates,
recent research findings and board postings, readers can get caught up
on all the latest governance news with just the click of a mouse.
The ICD Governance Resource Centre, a comprehensive, searchable
database, provides direct access to high-quality resources on
governance issues categorized in the areas of Risk Management,
Governance Issues and Corporate Strategy.
With exclusive access to the Governance Resource Centre, ICD members
benefit from having a wealth of information right at their
fingertips like Shoemaker's Child? Succession Planning for
the Board, an insightful article on board succession
planning. With corporate boards occupied with other issues such as risk
assessment and executive compensation, succession planning can be
likened to the shoemaker's children from the old proverb; just as the
shoemaker could never spare any time to make shoes for his children,
boards are unable to devote the time they would like to
planning for Director succession.
