The Institute of Corporate Directors is pleased to announce that the Hon. Brian Tobin, P.C., ICD.D will host this year’s Fellowship Awards Gala.

Mr. Tobin, a graduate of the ICD’s Directors Education Program, is a strong supporter of good governance and a dedicated Director.

This year, the ICD will honour these four outstanding Directors: Douglas D. Baldwin, B.Sc, LL.D, Chairman, Talisman Energy Inc. (Calgary, AB); Robert Després, OC, GOQ, M.Sc, FCMA, Chairman Cominar (Quebec, QC); Dallas J. Howe, MA, Chair, Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (Saskatoon, SK); and Eileen Mercier, MA, MBA, Board Chair, Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan (Toronto, ON).

Each year the ICD confers Fellowship Awards to a prominent group of individuals who continue to distinguish themselves by bringing exceptional corporate governance leadership to boardrooms throughout the country.

The 2009 ICD Fellowship Awards will be presented during a gala celebration taking place on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel (Toronto).
