Part 1 – A Dialogue with Indigenous Leaders

British Columbia, Calgary, and Edmonton Chapter Event ➤ This is the first session of a two-part series which will explore corporate governance with respect to doing business with Indigenous Peoples or on their lands. This session will focus on hearing from Indigenous Leaders with a goal of educating our board members on various matters from an Indigenous perspective.  The second session to be held on June 17 will focus on business relationships between corporations and Indigenous Peoples and key success factors and pitfalls.

In this first session, we will discuss various topics including Indigenous governance, establishing trust and respect in relationship building, business relationships and what is important to Indigenous Leaders in reviewing business opportunities and the roles of corporations, industries and governments in advancing and improving Indigenous relations. We will also address the questions that corporate board members should ask their management teams when exploring business relationships with Indigenous Peoples.

Our experienced moderator and panel will provide their insight into these matters and respond to questions from our audience at the end of the session.
