With so much changing in today’s environment, directors’ efforts to establish priorities for their Boards and Companies is an increasingly difficult task.  Charged with both oversight and foresight, Boards can be overwhelmed coping with the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, recovering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic including bringing employees back to the office, issues relating to supply chain deficiencies, inflationary pressures, rising interest rates and contemplating where fiscal policy is headed.  With his extensive experience in government and corporate leadership, Mr. Manley is uniquely qualified to help us consider the issues and understand the effects they have on our Company’s strategies and priorities. 

We will also take the opportunity to celebrate Mr. Manley’s recognition as a Fellow of the ICD in 2021.

Mr. Manley was Member of Parliament for Ottawa South from 1988 to 2004.He became a senior member of cabinet of Prime Minister Jean Chretien, holding the portfolios of Minister of Industry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance.

On July 1, 2009, Manley was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for his contributions to Canadian politics.
