Organizations in the not-for-profit sector continue to feel the impacts of persistent geopolitical issues and the societal and economic changes driven by the pandemic.

Human and funding resources are becoming increasingly scarce, and we have made necessary changes to the operating models for our NFPs, significantly changing service delivery. NFP governance, including transparency and accountability, is in the spotlight, including the need to calibrate the board's role in operations. The ICD's GTA Chapter is delivering a program/session that will identify and give shape to the critical issues in NFP governance today, including:
  • Re-examining the visions and missions of our NFPs
  • Considering collaboration and mergers
  • Geopolitical and economic recession concerns
  • Staffing, both paid and volunteer
  • Organizational Accountability and Board responsibility, including standards of business conduct and reputational risk
The program/session will be held on November 16th from 3:30 pm – 5:00 p.m. EST with an expert panel of:
  • Robin Cardozo, ICD.D, Governance consultant & NFP Board Chair
  • Lynda Hawton Kitamura, ICD.D, Board Member, Ontario Health
  • Bruce MacDonald - President & Chief Executive Officer, Imagine Canada
and moderated by Scott Bissessar, CEO, Straticom Technologies.
