ICD Board Fundamentals
The ICD’s Board Fundamentals are concise courses that delve into specific subject areas key to optimize board effectiveness.
Offered nationally to individuals with varying levels of board participation and degrees of experience in the for-profit, not-for-profit, and Crown sectors alike, these courses cover the essentials of good governance and are delivered by experienced directors with the support of other subject matter experts and ICD’s network of directors-in-residence.
Courses reflect and are enriched by extensive, hands-on, real-life board experiences and peer interaction designed to enhance performance and increase confidence in the boardroom.
The ICD has optimized its Short Courses for virtual delivery. Using a blended online learning model that weaves together best practices in adult education with creative networking opportunities, ICD Short Courses will now be more accessible to directors across Canada. Short Courses will delivered through a state-of-the-art platform and will include independent learning, live online sessions and additional learning resources.
