Cybersecurity Oversight: 2026 Director Update

This course is intended for directors from any industry or organization type who completed Oversight of Cybersecurity in an Era of Digital Acceleration prior to 2022 and who already have experience with cybersecurity oversight. It is designed for directors seeking an update on current and emerging cyber risks and practices, particularly those responsible for overseeing cybersecurity matters at the board or committee level.

After completing all components of this course, participants will: 

1. Understand today's threat landscape
Gain an updated view of the most current cybersecurity threats, including insider risks and vulnerabilities created by extended third- and fourth-party relationships. 

2. Strengthen oversight dialogue with management
Improve engagement with CIOs, CISOs, and senior management by understanding the most relevant, current oversight-level questions.

3. Learn from peer directors
Hear how other boards structure cyber oversight, define oversight priorities and report on cyber posture.

4. Contribute more confidently in the boardroom
Enhance decision-making and help address the impacts of exisiting and emerging cyber threats.

Participants will feel confident in making informed contributions and strengthening decision-making in the boarding, supporting effective oversight of evolving cybersecurity challenges. 

This course uses a blended online learning structure designed for time-constrained directors.

Independent Online Learning (Less Than 1 Hour)
Participants complete a short pre-session reading or video to set context for the live discussion. Access is provided approximately two weeks in advance.

Live, Instructor-Led Session (Approximately 1.5 Hours)
A facilitated conversation between course faculty and a CISO on the current cyber environment, followed by a peer roundtable focused on board-level oversight considerations.
