Canada’s Proposed Cybersecurity Bill: Key Insights
On June 14, 2022, Bill C-26 was introduced in the House of Commons of Canada. The bill includes updates to the existing Telecommunications Act and it establishes the Critical Cyber Systems Protection Act, both of which bring forward new requirements around cyber protection, detection, response and reporting.
