The Future for Diversity in Canada: Osler’s 10th Annual Diversity Disclosure Practices Report
Osler’s 10th annual Diversity Disclosure Practices: Diversity and Leadership at Canadian Public Companies report finds that progress on diversity in corporate Canada is losing momentum. The Osler report is an important resource that has tracked diversity practices at the board and executive officer level of Canadian public companies over the last 10 years, focussing on companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and those governed by the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA. Substantial progress has been made over time on increasing the representation of women and other diverse groups, but this year saw progress slow to its lowest level since 2016.
Join Osler, an ICD Sponsor, and its panel of directors on October 24, 2024 for a webinar discussion reflecting on longer term and more recent trends over a decade of diversity disclosure data, the factors that are driving the results for this year and the implications for the diversity of senior leadership roles at public companies in the future. The session will focus principally on the representation of women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, and persons with disabilities in leadership positions, but will touch on other aspects of diversity as well.
This event is complimentary for ICD Members.
