Corporate Governance in Fast-Growing Technology Companies
The tech industry operates under its own set of rules, especially when it comes to board governance. Directors at start-ups are expected to be proactive and hands-on. While corporate governance is a well-explored subject in the context of large companies, the dynamics within technology companies demand a different approach.
Kurtis McBride and Janet Bannister, both leaders in the technology industry, will share lessons and stories of fast-growing companies in the tech industry and the impact of corporate governance.
• What Founders need to manage their Board? The special role that the board plays in the tech environment. What Governance best practices are critical? How does a Founder manage their board directors who are investors and may be experts in mining, for example, but not tech?
• What ICD executives can do to become effective board directors for Technology firms? How is it different from the public sector boards? How can members use the ICD network to their advantage to discover board opportunities ?
Join us for an engaging discussion that promises to shed light on these critical questions and offer valuable insights for those involved in the governance of tech start-ups.
