Building a Resilient Board- Institutional Investor Expectations of Directors in Times of Turmoil

Join Canada’s preeminent corporate governance organization, the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance, for an engaging presentation and in-person panel discussion on institutional investors expectations of boards and directors in a rapidly evolving governance landscape, including ESG backlash, geopolitical threats and the emergence of AI.

Alongside leading representatives from the director and institutional investor communities, CCGG will provide attendees with an overview of Building High Performance Boards, its updated corporate governance guidance to corporate directors. The update focuses on leveraging principles based corporate governance tools and strategies to build and support board resilience as expectations on directors mount and the pace and scope of the challenges facing companies accelerates.

Cutting through the noise of everchanging headlines, through a candid panel discussion following the presentation, you will gain insights into institutional investor expectations of boards and the response of the director community. Highlights will include the importance of taking a holistic approach to risk management, strategy, culture and stakeholder engagement and the importance of Indigenous reconciliation.

The session will be followed by an interactive Q&A, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with investors and directors.
