The Evolving Oversight Expectations of Boards in a Rapidly Changing World

Never in our business lifetimes have we experienced such an unprecedented pace of change. Regulations, technology, geopolitical turbulence, shifting partnerships, evolving trade frameworks, and new legal exposures are transforming the environment in which organizations operate. The business landscape of today looks vastly different from that of even five or ten years ago.

These forces shape every organization — and, by extension, the role, responsibilities, and foresight required of Directors. Are today’s Boards ready to meet these new expectations? What will it take to keep pace? What worked in the past will no longer be sufficient for the future.

Please join Bill Baines, from our Chapter Executive, together with guest panelists from our Chapter Advisory Committee, Derek Johannson and Richard Olfert, for an engaging discussion on the evolving demands placed on Directors and Boards. We will explore how boards operate today and what readiness looks like for the future — one that is being redefined at a speed we have never encountered before.

This will be our final ICD Manitoba Chapter event of 2025. We will celebrate our year and the holiday season with a late afternoon of discussion and relaxed socializing among fellow ICD members and guests.
