Board Composition: Keeping up with Organizational Change
Since its establishment in Ottawa, Dress for Success NCR has evolved and the board’s role has evolved along with it. As part of a much larger organization, it exists to support women and gender nonconforming individuals in the National Capital Region to achieve economic independence.
The Dress for Success Board governance approach has changed as the operation evolved to meet the changing needs of its community and the changing operational realities it has faced.
Board Chair Josee Guibord will share her reflections on Board recruitment that aligns with evolving needs of an organization, sharing her experiences from the various Boards she has served on and reported to.
