Inside The Minds Of Board Chairs
IAS-Québec is pleased to invite you to its November 19 breakfast, featuring three exceptional board directors. Marie-Hélène Nolet is Chair of the Board of Directors of Aéroports de Montréal and serves on the boards of Goodfellow Inc., Centech, and the Laurent-Duvernay-Tardif Foundation. Hubert T. Lacroix is a strategic advisor at Blakes, Chair of the Boards of Groupe Solmax and Groupe Santé Axio, and a member of the boards of Cascades, Nouveau Monde Graphite, and the Canadian Olympic Committee. He previously served as President and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada.
So, what really goes on inside the mind of a board chair? Their speaking time may be limited, yet they are the ones who lead meetings, shape strategy, set the agenda, maintain regular dialogue with senior management, and evaluate the performance of board members. Behind these responsibilities, what thoughts guide our panellists, and which actions do they consider most critical? They will offer a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes thinking that shapes the role of a board chair.
The discussion will be moderated by André Dugal, Chair of the IAS-Québec Board of Directors, Treasurer and Board Member of the Autiste & majeur Foundation, former Chair of the Board of the Ordre des CPA du Québec, and retired partner at KPMG. He served as an instructor in the ICD's Director Development Program for nearly 20 years.
We look forward to seeing you there!
