The Lifecycle of a Company-Part 1: Financing Growth (Kitchener)

Companies travel a typical path from early startup, through financing, growth, more financing, and an exit. The path can be as exciting as tortuous. David and Dennis will explain this lifecycle from the perspective of a board member and senior manager. While on this path, legal expressions may be daunting for many, and so, these will be explained with stories and anecdotes from their rich experiences.

Part 1 of this two-part presentation discusses the growth journey of a company raising venture capital as part of this journey. Concepts which confound many people during financing rounds are discussed with real-life scenarios to emphasize the points. Good governance from seasoned board members and managers is needed at every step. Become a more confident board member or executive during these exciting times.
