General
The 2026 ICD National Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala will be in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on June 1 and 2, 2026. There are special activities available on June 3.

Conference and Gala Programming
Seating is not assigned for the 2026 ICD National Director Conference.
Seating is only assigned at the Fellowship Awards Gala. During this event, seating maps and assignment lists will be posted at the registration desk for the Fellowship Awards Gala. Only purchased gala tables or sponsor tables have guaranteed seating arrangements.
Please email conference@icd.ca with any special table requests by 5:00 p.m. ET on May 22, 2026. The ICD will do our best to accommodate requests; however, only purchased gala tables or sponsor tables have guaranteed seating arrangements.
The ICD has a suggested dress code of business attire for the 2026 ICD National Director Conference and cocktail attire for the Fellowship Awards Gala. Delegates are welcome to wear what is most comfortable.
The Conference and Gala will be in person only. Sessions are not intended to be recorded.

The ICD is pleased to offer an exclusive Director Dilemma lunch for ICD.D Designation holders. You can engage with fellow ICD.D designation holders at this exclusive pre-conference session and reconnect with DEP colleagues.
Registration Fee: $150.00
Pre-registration and ICD.D Designation is required. Note that space is limited.
If demand exceeds capacity, a waitlist will be generated. Those who attend will be awarded 2 CEUs.
The ICD is asking attendees to indicate their preference for breakout sessions in advance so that we can accommodate our guests.
The welcome cocktail reception is for registered conference attendees and is included in the Conference registration fee.

CEUs
Directors with the ICD.D designation are eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) for attending the following:
- ICD.D Luncheon (2 CEUs)
- National Director Conference (6 CEUs)
- Fellowship Awards Gala (2 CEUs)
- Pre- and post-excursions (1 CEU)
The ICD National Conference may be eligible for CEU credits with other professional designation bodies. We encourage you to check with the organizations you are affiliated with. For more information on CEUs, contact us at designations@icd.ca.
Travel and Hotel Accommodations
No. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation bookings.
Yes. The ICD has secured preferred conference rates at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront, the host hotel. A limited number of preferred-rate rooms are also available at The Muir and Hotel Halifax.
Preferred rates at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront and Hotel Halifax are available from May 30 to June 4 for those wishing to extend their stay.
Yes. Discount codes for air travel are available to conference attendees. These can be accessed through the Travel and Accommodation page.
No. All travel and accommodation changes must be handled directly with the service provider. If you have questions, you are welcome to contact conference@icd.ca and the team will help direct your inquiry as needed.
Media & Communication
Photographs may be taken at this event and published in various media, including print and online. If you have questions about the use of event photographs by the ICD, please contact Borjana Bulajic at bbulajic@icd.ca.
The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), its partners, and event attendees may also post discussions and pictures on various social media channels. We encourage event participants to engage in discussions via LinkedIn (@Institute of Corporate Directors) and to include the hashtag #ICDConference2026.
The ICD also regularly hosts events under a modified Chatham House Rule. Contributions may be published but are not to be attributed to any individual speaker. The events are not recorded, although informal video footage may be captured for marketing purposes.
