ICD Update Regarding COVID-19 


These are unprecedented times and the ICD is committed to helping Canada’s Board Directors demonstrate the strong leadership and effective decision-making that will help us emerge from the COVID-19 crisis.

In the coming days we will offer digital content that will help our members navigate the serious challenges they face as they work to sustain their organizations. Members can continue to access the ICD BoardInfo service to help answer timely and organizationally-specific governance questions including, but not limited to, inquiries related to the coronavirus crisis such as crisis management plans and virtual AGMs and other timely and relevant issues. In the meantime, here are some important updates:

ICD Staff and Office
ICD staff is working remotely. Following the announcement issued by the Government of Ontario declaring a province-wide state of emergency, our National Office in Toronto is closed. Please be assured that our staff is fully equipped to work remotely and that regular working hours will be followed (9:00am-17:00pm EDT).

2020 ICD National Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala
Due to the fact that is it is no longer viable to hold this event in-person, the 2020 ICD National Conference & Fellowship Awards Gala, originally scheduled to be held on May 27th and 28th in Halifax, has been postponed.

ICD would like to thank the Conference Co-Chairs and members of the ICD Maritime Chapter, for their guidance and support in developing an outstanding roster of speakers.

And to our sponsors, thank you for supporting the leading informational and networking event for Corporate Board Directors in Canada.

Since the theme for this year’s Conference, Next Level Governance for the New Normal, is more relevant than ever, the ICD is looking at new and dynamic ways to provide you with the insights and perspectives of world-class Directors and leaders. Information on this is forthcoming, as is how we will continue to honour the 2020 ICD Fellows.

All ICD Chapter events have been suspended through to June 30, 2020.

If you have already registered for an event in your Chapter, please note that you will be issued with a full refund. If you have any questions regarding your refund, please contact events@icd.ca.

If you are currently registered for an ICD education program between now and June 30, 2020, please click here to check the status of your course. As developments evolve, we will contact you by email to update you directly if your course is being postponed.
