Presented by the Saskatchewan Chapter ➤ ESG – Environmental, Social & Governance: Investors are increasingly putting money in companies that reflect their values. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of standards by which investors can evaluate a company’s operations to help decide their level of investment. What does this mean for your board? Are donors and sponsors looking for the same type of values? Everyone is talking about ESG, but few really understand what is behind the acronym and why board members need to pay attention to it.

We will talk about where ESG originated, why it is important and how you can bring this topic to your board agenda. Whether you are on a non-profit, publicly traded, Crown, or other type of organization’s board, you will want to attend this session.

Karri Howlett, an ESG Strategy and Finance Consultant based in Saskatoon, with extensive board director experience, will deliver an ESG 101 presentation and answer your questions about this topic.
